Aaron you are so wrong about the teacher stuff
Most teachers do not have a prep period-I worked for over 13 years in a classroom with no prep time-I did that on my own time-usually grading papers and preparing my lessons for 2 or more hours a day.
They are paid for 183 days a year-over a ten month salary-most teachers have to work over the summer in order to make ends meet. Teachers also spend their own money on supplies and items for their classrooms
They do not get social security when they retire and pay into their own pension
Teachers in California are the only job that have to continue their education to renew their credential every 5 years-this is not true of other professions-
Also, without teachers-where would everyone be?
